VISUAL INSPECTION

Seattle Gold & Prospecting uses a loupe to visually look for proper markings on your gold and silver separating them into proper grades for a acid swipe test. This way when you actually sell jewelry to us, we can tell you what type of precious metal it is.

SWIPE ACID TEST

We take a small swipe of your unwanted jewelry on a test stone, this does not harm your items. We then use a small drop of acid on each swipe to see how the acid reacts to the metals, this helps us in grading your gold and silver or unwanted jewelry.

WEIGHING THE MATERIAL

We use the same scales that the smelter uses to ensure accuracy weighing down to the 1/10th of a gram. This way we can ensure you get top dollar for selling gold. We at Seattle Gold & Prospecting care about how much you get when you sell your precious metals to us. We weigh the separate grades.

CURRENT METAL PRICE CHECK

We check the current gold prices or other precious metals at the time of the transaction to ensure that you are receiving the best possible price.

We calculate the weight with the current pricing to determine the price we will pay you. We pay by the gram.

ISSUE OF A PAYMENT

After an agreement has been met on the price we will pay either by cash or company check for the total amount.
